Pioneer Day in Utah Wed. July 24th 2013

Pioneer Day 2013 Utah
This is the Place

In Utah we celebrate the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. The entry of the first pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley is commemorated by a monument at the mouth of Immigration Canyon. Called This is the place Heritage Park it has exhibits, displays, and monuments all telling the story of the first white people to come to Utah.

After a journey across the Country to escape religion persecution the Pioneers lead by Brigham Young were indeed happy to have their ordeal come to an end. Brigham Young’s actual words were “It is enough. This is the right place. Drive on.” The term “This is the place” which Brigham Young didn’t actually utter as his first comment, was actually shouted and passed on by excited travelers who welcomed their new home.

We would like to pronounce that if you are seeking a manicure or pedicure, this is the right place ! Come to LA Nails 1 and get your services well before the holiday and remember to book in advance. Usually a holiday means we are super busy and we don’t want you to be disappointed.
