Jessica Lynn Williams, 36, of Lower Chanceford Township, was arraigned on the charges Sunday morning and was released on non-monetary bail.

A man said he could not see and had trouble breathing when his girlfriend allegedly threw nail polish remover into his face Saturday night, according to charging documents.

Jessica Lynn Williams, 36, of the first block of Sunnyburn Court, Lower Chanceford Township, faces one count each of simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned on the charges Sunday morning and released on non-monetary bail, according to online court dockets.

Williams, reached on Monday, did not dispute the affidavit’s details.

About 8:47 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police were called to the home shared by Williams and boyfriend Edward Arnold Vanover II for an alleged domestic incident. Once there, they spoke with Vanover, who said he and Williams argued and that she struck him in the face and threw nail polish remover on his face and body, documents state.

“Vanover related that after the nail polish remover fluid struck his face and body he was unable to see because the fluid was in his eyes, and struggled to breathe because of the chemical fumes,” documents state.

Medical personnel were called to the scene and examined Vanover, documents state.

Police spoke with Williams, who admitted to hitting Vanover in the face and throwing the nail polish remover “because she was just tired of dealing” with him, documents state.

Williams was arrested without incident, documents state.
